Take a look at Room to Inspire’s custom lampshades

Have you ever considered a custom made lampshade?

At Room to Inspire we can make simple shades to suit your personal taste and indeed several satisfied customers have already used this service. We’ve also collaborated in design projects by providing unusual sized shades.

A new shade might be all you need to change the feel of a room, but it’s often tricky to find exactly what you want. That’s where we come in! We can make shades with your own fabric, or source something new and fresh for you from our own fabric suppliers. It might be just the ticket to liven up that dreary old lamp you’ve been hiding in the corner – and it won’t break the bank.

Why not come over and take a look at the shades we have in store. That way you can see the quality and consider the possibilities. It might even spark a few more ideas!

Friary Car Park now open!

We are delighted to announce that we now have a large covered car park just across the street.

Friary Car Park opened to the public today! It’s very convenient for Room to Inspire customers, as you can exit on foot into Swan Road or Queen Street and we are just across the road.

See you soon for all your lovely Christmas Shopping!

Vintage Inspiration starts tomorrow at Room to Inspire

We are really excited about our gorgeous vintage pieces which are available to view and purchase from tomorrow!

As usual we have managed to source some fabulous unique items for our customers and we’re looking forward to welcoming you for the launch. Why not come and try your hand at lampshade making? We’ll be demonstrating at 12.30 tomorrow.

Peace Restored at Room to Inspire!

Well,  we’d just like to say thanks so much to so many of our lovely customers.

You’ve braved the noise, vibrations and disruption in the last week whilst the piling took place across the road! But now we’ve waved goodbye to the piling machine.

We’re delighted to report that our precious clocks, mirrors and wall art remained fixed to the wall throughout the ordeal – no casualties thankfully.

Although the development on Sandford Street contributes to the parking issues on this side of Lichfield, we are still only a short walk from the Bird Street car park.

And if you’re taking the scenic route, we are just a couple of minutes from the edge of Beacon Park.

Not long now till the new multi-storey opens!

Vintage Inspiration coming soon

Get ready for our week of Vintage Inspiration!

Saturday 20th July sees the start of our week of Vintage Inspiration. Why not pop in for a glass of Pimms and a browse?

Throughout the week we’ll be featuring some distinctive and attractive one off vintage pieces of furniture, lanterns, travelling trunks, lamps, campaign chests, mirrors and much more….

During the day on the 20th we’ll be demonstrating how to customise a standard lamp.

Add a new shade to a reclaimed or upcycled lampbase and you have endless possibilities!

We’ll also be showing you how easy it is to make a simple drum shade to your own specification.

Watch this space for more ideas and information coming soon!

Here at Room to Inspire we’re always happy to share design ideas with our customers.

Here’s one we copied from a little beach restaurant we visited last week in Santa Maria, Calabria!

That  little strip of blue sand just lends a little more interest to a basic design and reminds us of lazy days gazing at Stromboli across the deep blue Med, and warm al fresco evenings, indulging in wonderful Italian cuisine!
