Where to source Vintage Products

We are often asked where we get our unusual and quirky vintage pieces from.

The truth is we’re always on the lookout for promising bits of furniture or old lamps that need some TLC.

Some of our more impressive pieces come from our very good friends at Go Antique . These are beautifully restored and ready to go!

If you’re looking to source some vintage products to restore, paint or upcycle yourself, our local auction house or the Antique Centre at Curborough are both good places to start.

Vintage style knobs just in

Vintage Knobs

We all know how a new lampshade can completely revitalise an old lamp.

Room to Inspire now offers its customers a wide choice of vintage style knobs, which can completely transform a piece of furniture.

There are many styles and colours to choose from, with prices from £3.75.

Pop down during our Week of Vintage Inspiration for further tips and ideas!

If you make it tomorrow, there’ll be Pimms on offer too!

Peace Restored at Room to Inspire!

piler2

Well,  we’d just like to say thanks so much to so many of our lovely customers.

You’ve braved the noise, vibrations and disruption in the last week whilst the piling took place across the road! But now we’ve waved goodbye to the piling machine.

We’re delighted to report that our precious clocks, mirrors and wall art remained fixed to the wall throughout the ordeal – no casualties thankfully.

Although the development on Sandford Street contributes to the parking issues on this side of Lichfield, we are still only a short walk from the Bird Street car park.

And if you’re taking the scenic route, we are just a couple of minutes from the edge of Beacon Park.

Not long now till the new multi-storey opens!

Get ready for our week of Vintage Inspiration!

Saturday 20th July sees the start of our week of Vintage Inspiration. Why not pop in for a glass of Pimms and a browse?

Throughout the week we’ll be featuring some distinctive and attractive one off vintage pieces of furniture, lanterns, travelling trunks, lamps, campaign chests, mirrors and much more….

During the day on the 20th we’ll be demonstrating how to customise a standard lamp.

Add a new shade to a reclaimed or upcycled lampbase and you have endless possibilities!

We’ll also be showing you how easy it is to make a simple drum shade to your own specification.

Watch this space for more ideas and information coming soon!
